Tessa McCann is News Editor for Strategic Relationships at CNBC International. Based at the network’s London headquarters, Tessa is responsible for the development and delivery of CNBC’s editorial agenda across EMEA. Overseeing the news desk team, Tessa is focussed on driving CNBC’s coverage of key stories and global events.
With over 17 years’ worth of experience in news gathering, Tessa has overseen coverage of the euro zone debt crisis, the Arab Spring and Brexit. Prior to CNBC, Tessa spent time working at Bloomberg and CNN in Hong Kong and London. She graduated from The University of Queensland with a BA in E- Commerce, IT, Economics, Finance.
This meeting was free, with an optional donation to the CIPR iprovision fund. As we move forward, our programme of speaker events and panels will continue to be virtual and will be subject to a modest charge (with the usual member discount).

What does Brexit mean for business with trade expert David Henig

For our final 2020 CIPR Corporate & Financial lunch time event, CIPR hosted this member only event on Thursday 3 December, 14:00 – 15:00 with trade expert, David Henig via Zoom. The recording of this meeting can soon be viewed in the CPD section of this website and is worth 5 CPD points.
David is one of the UK’s leading authorities on trade policy. He is Director of the UK Trade Policy Project at the think-tank European Centre for International Political Economy. He regularly discusses trade issues in the media, and advises global business on the implications. He previously worked for the UK Government on EU-US trade negotiations and China-US issues.
David talked about the current state of play on EU-UK negotiations, what outcomes business and Britain will face and some top-level implications for financial services.
