Speakers include Laura de Molière, the Head of Behavioural Science in the UK Government Communications Service in the Cabinet Office and award-winning consultant Dominic Ridley Moy who will talk about his decades of experience running behaviour change campaigns.
 
Hear about the applications of behavioural science from Shayoni Lynn, Vice-Chair of CIPR's Behavioural Insights Interest Group, and from Michael Travers, Communications Manager at Norfolk County Council.

  • Speaker Biographies


    Dr Laura de Molière

    Dr Laura de Molière is founder and Head of Behavioural Science in the UK Government Communication Service in the Cabinet Office. Laura holds a PhD from UCL in decision-sciences and social cognition, and a BSc in Psychology from the same university. She has co-authored the recent "The principles of behaviour change communications" and "IN CASE" publications and successfully embeds behavioural science in campaigns and policy initiatives across the UK government and beyond.

    Michael Travers
    Michael is Communications Manager at Norfolk County Council. Michael will share a case study looking at how Norfolk County Council Public Health used behavioural science to develop and deliver COVID campaigns.


    Shayoni Lynn
    Shayoni Lynn FCIPR FPRCA CMPRCA is CEO and Founder at multi-award-winning strategic communications and behavioural science consultancy, Lynn PR.  Shayoni is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) and the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) and Chair of PRCA Cymru. 
    In 2021 and 2022, Shayoni was listed in the PRWeek Power Book – the definitive list of the most influential and respected communications professionals in the UK. In 2021, she was listed in the PROPEL 100 – a list of the most influential PR agency professionals in the world. 
    Shayoni represents Wales at the UK PR Council where she is leading a workstream on ethics and is a founding panel member and Vice-Chair of CIPR's Behavioural Insights Interest Group, and a committee member for CIPR Education & Skills, and the Government Communication Service (GCS) South West and Wales. 
    Shayoni is a regular industry awards judge (CIPR, PRCA, CASE, PR Week, SABRE) and speaks on the use of data, behavioural insights, and measurement & evaluation at conferences globally. 

    Shayoni is an Associate Lecturer on the MA in International PR and Global Communications Management at Cardiff University. In 2019, she was recognised in the WalesOnline35 under 35 list of top young businesswomen in Wales.  


    Dr Grianne Dickerson
    Director of Behavioural Insights at Magpie. 
    Grainne is an honorary lecturer at Bradford University on behavioural science, she is Chair Elect of the Behavioural Science and Public Health Network and is a school governor - leading safeguarding. Grainne leads all the behavioural insights across the Magpie team. A Health Psychologist with a Professional Doctorate in Health Psychology under her belt, she  worked in Public Health for 16 years in various roles. Before joining Magpie Grainne was a Senior Public Health Specialist at Bradford Council where her role involved - amongst other things - advising on behavioural science for COVID-19 messaging and other aspects of the COVID-19 response. Prior to that role Grainne worked at Kirklees Council working as Behavioural Insights Transformation Lead - leading Transformation projects across the council.
