Advita is a Chartered Practitioner and has worked within internal communication for almost 15 years in a range of industries, public and private. She is a firm believer in professional development and works with people to take the leap so they can revolutionise the way they communicate. In her most recent roles she has worked on large-scale transformational and transition programmes at multi-national organisations.
She is also a keen blogger and regularly documents her learning via her blog: www.commsrebel.com.
Advita was awarded fellowship of the CIPR in 2018.
Martin has worked in communication roles in central government, higher education, financial and legal services for over 20 years, mainly in corporate, change and programme level communication and management roles. He specialises in internal, change communication and employee engagement and is currently Global Internal Communications Lead at the Medical Protection Society.
A CIPR Chartered PR Practitioner and Fellow, he has a CIPR Internal Communication Diploma and blogs about internal communication at ggelfIC.com.
Debbie discovered her passion for internal communications six years ago, working as an in-house professional for a large financial services company, supporting global digital transformation and change.
Since becoming an independent practitioner two years ago, she’s worked with leaders across a variety of sectors, including e-commerce and professional training. A keen podcaster, she hosts the Be a Bigger Fish podcast.
Debbie was delighted to achieve Chartered Practitioner status in 2019.
Currently working as an in-house IC specialist, Dan has spent the past six years supporting both office and remote workers. He has completed the CIPR Internal Communications Diploma and earnt CIPR PR Practitioner accreditation back in 2016 and joined the CIPR Inside committee in 2018.
Earlier in 2019 Dan set-up Horizon Comms, a website dedicated to supporting professionals new to the internal communications community by providing articles, resources and signposting to useful resources.
Dan achieved Chartered PR Practitioner status in 2020 after at-tending the first online assessment day.
Marsha began her IC career by pioneering the internal comms function at the RIBA. Since then she’s worked in oil and insurance as an Internal Comms Manager. She has a keen interest in employee voice and creating a good employee experience. In her most recent role, she built and managed a community of 80 employee reporters, ran focus groups and developed insight to help the team better serve the business.
Padraic is proudly Irish and an interim Change and Communications specialist with 10 years’ experience across several diverse industries and sectors. He focuses on supporting change and transformation teams by delivering creative engagement and communications plans for change teams to drive engagement, business performance, adoption and return on investment. He is an advocate for driving stakeholders to invest in “the people part” of change to drive successful outcomes, taking into account global and international nuances and regionalisms.
Helen has followed an interest in frontline communication and recently joined GSK’s pharma supply chain team. Before this, she enjoyed freelance assignments for clients including Virgin Atlantic and Gatwick Airport.
Passionate about CPD, Helen recently completed a Masters in Employee Engagement to ‘shake things up’. She likes nothing better than catching an IC podcast or book club choice.
Sussex based; outside of work Helen can usually be found catching a play or musical somewhere.
Madeleine has worked in internal comms for the past eight years, first for international law firm Pinsent Masons, then for global betting & gaming giant GVC Group, where she led on strategic employee communications for a range of major projects including M&A, employer brand and CSR.
Having studied business management at the University of Nottingham, specialising in marketing, Madeleine has completed Melcrum Black Belt Pro and hopes to get chartered in 2020. She’s also got a keen interest in the role of neuroscience in employee engagement through change and would love to take some time out to study business psychology in the future.
Chaya is a communication coach and consultant who champions strategic communication that creates positive human connection. As owner of her company; Humanly, she coaches leaders and supports communication that enhances listening, conversation and connection. She has 14 years of in-house experience in the energy industry and a varied background including a mix of psychology, public relations, internal communication and is a qualified business and personal coach. She is British but lives in The Netherlands.
Katie is a Chartered and award-winning communication specialist with 20 years’ experience. She specialises in internal communication, taking an inside out view of communication to help workplaces work better for business success. Katie loves the complexity found in organisational communication and interpreting the dynamics that can be found between leadership and employees, then designing simple and creative solutions for different challenges. Katie also leads and teaches the CIPR Internal Communication Diploma at Bournemouth University.
Leanne Ehren MCIPR is a omni-skilled communication and engagement professional with a background in public sector, emergency services, and operational workforces. She joined the dark side after a career in local newspaper journalism and is strong believer that story telling should be at the heart of all communication.
She is also a mental health and wellbeing advocate, acting as a keynote speaker on the topic as well as delivering wellbeing workshops and coaching for those working in communication. Leanne currently works at Anglian Water heading up a team, responsible for the internal communication and engagement of in excess of 2,000 colleagues in the Water Business Stream.

Noel has 20 years’ experience as an events specialist, starting his career in sales for large B2B exhibitions and conferences, before moving into event management and conference production – more recently working as a free-lancer and contractor through his own company, Events Energy Limited.
After developing a keen interest in communications work, Noel has spent the last few years studying for CIPR qualifications, achieving a distinction pass for both the Advanced Certificate in Public Relations and the Specialist Diploma in Internal Communication. Noel is looking to transition his career to internal communication and play an active role within CIPR.
Add Sara has been with VMA Group for 4 and a half years, recruiting in the internal communications sector. She joined the team as a researcher and now heads up the internal communications permanent practice. Working across a range of sectors and levels she has a great insight into the internal communications function and the development of the discipline. She is one of the leading consultants on VMA Group’s internal communications survey, Inside Insight, one of the largest industry research pieces into internal communications.
Sara has a degree in English and Communications from Kings College London as well as a CEBA in Business Management. Outside of work she loves to travel and tick off ‘go-to’ places from her list and try different world foods.
Sam has spent just over six years in the world of internal communication and engagement - having initially specialised in student engagement, Sam went on to under-take more strategic roles in higher education, leading on employee engagement initiatives and supporting large-scale change programmes.
After spending five years working in higher education, Sam recently joined EMIS Group, an IT company in the healthcare sector, as the Communications & Engagement Manager. Sam is responsible for managing and developing all the internal communication channels with overall strategic oversight, enhancing employee engagement, and leading the company's corporate social responsibility programme.
Sam enjoys unpicking complex organisational challenges and developing communication strategies based on rich insight. He strongly believes in the role of internal communications and engagement as a core function that can support businesses as they adapt to the ever changing workforce.
