Mandy is an award-winning public relations and marketing consultant with over 25 years' industry experience. She has helped public, private and third-sector organisations manage their corporate reputation through periods of major change. She has worked as the lead PR professional in large public bodies and partnerships, managing all aspects of PR and public affairs. She specialises in stakeholder and digital engagement. Mandy holds an MBA and works as consultant, speaker and trainer working with clients in the public sector as well as in planning, property, energy and construction. Mandy is CIPR president elect 2020.
Kerry Sheehan has more than 15 years’ experience in government, health, tech, B2C and B2B sectors. She has extensive experience leading communications and marketing functions in agency and in-house settings, and has proven success in developing and implementing artificial intelligence (AI) strategies.
Kerry is Chair of the globally-leading #AIinPR panel looking at the implications of AI and in the PR, communications and marketing communications industry. She is also a member of the International Data Science Foundation, and is a graduate of Dame Wendy Hall's Fundamentals of Data, AI and Machine Learning.
Peter Holt FCIPR, Chart. PR is Assistant Chief Executive of South Northants Council, having previously held top comms roles in NHS Trusts, Policing, and Local Authorities around the U.K. for London to Belfast, Cornwall to Renfrewshire, Dorset to Cheshire, Oxford to Powys, and Bristol to Newcastle. Peter is currently leading a major CIPR project on supporting communication professionals in handling safeguarding issues. Peter was formerly the elected Leader of a London Borough Council.
Claire has worked in public relations and communications for more than 18 years, with roles across local government, central government and third sector. Claire specialises in change communications and engagement; heading up the stakeholder communications team at Action for Children, one of the largest children’s charities in the UK. Claire is also a committee member for other CIPR groups and a trustee for St Luke’s Hospice Harrow and Brent.
Megan is the strategic lead for Internal Communications and Employee Engagement at the Greater London Authority. Megan has 15 years’ experience in local and regional government – across four borough councils, one transport authority and now the GLA. Megan has led multidisciplinary teams in both internal and external campaigns across a variety of areas including, housing, community safety, regeneration and economic development, employee surveys, as well as organisational change and transformation.
Dominic Ridley-Moy is an award-winning Communications Consultant, with more than 19 years' experience in the local authority, social housing and voluntary sectors, leading large-teams and helping organisations be more effective with their communications. Dominic specialises in running behaviour change campaigns and helping organisations to apply nudge-based principles; how small changes to your communications can have a large impact on people's behaviour. He runs the Behaviour ChangeNetwork, to help communications and policy practitioners share tips and best practice in behaviour change.
Abha Thakor is Continuing Professional Development (CPD) lead. She supports the institute and wider industry in the sharing of communications practice and knowledge management methods. She is involved in international campaigns on digital skills training. Her background and research areas are in government communications, technology and AI. She is a contributing author and journalist on communications tools, IT and project management. She supports the CIPR LPS to signpost learning and professional skills development opportunities.
An experienced public sector communicator, Giuseppina is currently Head of Communications and Customer Experience at Tandridge District Council in Surrey.
Her team delivers a proactive and professional approach to corporate communications, making use of customer insight to enhance services and deliver a better experience for the customer. She is a member of the Senior Leadership Team. Giuseppina is Chair of the Surrey Communications Group, a Surrey wide public sector group of about 100 communications professionals.
Angie has over 25 years’ communications experience - mainly in the public and not-for-profit sectors- and believes passionately in the vital role effective communications play in achieving business objectives, reputation management and mutually successful stakeholder relationships.
She has managed national organ and blood donation campaigns for the NHS; co-ordinated regional millennium programmes and promoted the Millennium Dome; managed communications for a core city and dealt with just about everything working in communications can throw at you.
Dan Slee is a freelance communications professional with more than 20 years experience working for and with the public sector. He co-founded the comms2point0 blog and the commscamp unconference. He is a former board member of The Guardian's Public Leaders Forum.
Ann Bridges is Head of Communications at Northumberland County Council.
Lisa Fleming has led the delivery of highly effective campaigns and communications activity at a Startegic and operational level in both public and private sector organisations. Most recently working as Head of PR, communications and marketing at housing group Ongo before moving into freelance consultancy.
Tamsin May is Deputy Director of Communications and Engagement for Bath &NE Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs). Prior to working with commissioners, Tamsin was national campaigns manager for NHS Blood and Transplant and has also led the communications team at Bristol City Council. She is a public involvementand marketing specialist with particular experience in organisational change, branding and behaviour change projects.
Naomi is an Account Executive at Westco Communications. She has experience in communications working across a number of sectors including automotive, education, financial services and the third sector. During her time at Coventry University Naomi achieved a first-class degree in Business Management receiving the Course Tutors prize for academic achievement. Naomi also represented 5000 students as Business & Law Faculty Chair and served on the trustee board of Coventry University Students’ Union.
