Anthony is the chair of the CIPR North West region. He has been on the committee since 2014 and his previous roles include Treasurer and supporting with social media to promote events. A chartered PR practitioner, he is a huge advocate for continuing professional development (CPD). He also regularly speaks at universities to support students seeking a career in PR.
He is the owner and managing director of Outwrite PR, an award-winning PR and communications agency.
Hayley is a Chartered Practitioner and has been on the CIPR North West committee since 2011. In that time she’s held roles including Student Liaison Lead and Treasurer. She is also a past Chair (2016 – 18) She currently sits on CIPR National Council and is a member of the Finance Committee.
Hayley has worked in public relations for over 15 years. She is currently Assistant Director – Communications, Engagement and Campaigns for Greater Manchester Combined Authority.
Amanda has more than 20 years’ experience in public sector communication roles, working at senior levels. She is a Chartered PR practitioner and a Fellow of the CIPR.
Linda is the administrator for the committee and has been since 2005. She answers members’ queries, liaises with HQ and takes the minutes of committee meetings from her home in France. She provides support to committee members and handles bookings for CIPR NW events.
Owner of Admin Answers, a virtual PA business, Linda acts as a partner to clients around the world, providing advice and experience as well as admin support.
Bridget, CIPR accredited PR Practitioner, has over 20 years’ experience working in PR and communications. She worked inhouse for Centrica and Manchester Airport before setting up Limetree PR Ltd. Dividing her time between working in-house, for a law firm, she also works independently with some long-standing PR clients.
Bridget has been on the CIPR NW Committee for almost 10 years and won a highly commended Independent PR Practitioner award.
Jeni is an Accredited Practitioner and currently our training lead. She organises training workshops which help to support the careers of our members, giving them a local option for updating their PR skills.
Her day job is running Accolade Media Training, the company she founded 25 years ago following a career in journalism and PR. Accolade’s core business is media interview training and media resilience assessments for high-level appointments in the public and private sectors.
Carl manages the communications strategy for the National Farmers’ Union (NFU) in the North West. A leading PR practitioner, he is in his third year as a CIPR Committee member and has a special interest in delivering more CIPR events, and opportunities for networking, in the rural county of Cumbria. A qualified journalist, Carl is the go-to media contact in the North West for anything agricultural or rural.
Amanda is a specialist in business-to-business PR, and has spent the past 30 years working with manufacturers and logistics companies, helping them get out of stealth mode. She is a director of East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce and a staunch advocate of lifetime learning.
Currently Internal Communications Manager for Electricity North West, Nicole has worked in communications, in-house and agency for more than ten years. Before a career in communications, she was a journalist for local newspapers across Manchester and the Manchester Evening News for almost five years.
On the committee Nicole oversees the annual CIPR North West PRide Awards and is proud to support and help showcase the very best communications and public relations talent across the region.
Wendy is a Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader for MSc Public Relations at Manchester Metropolitan University. She has chaired a national CIPR committee and is a co-author of a CIPR PR in Practice title. In 2015, Wendy led a national research project culminating in the report 'Influence for Impact.' In 2017, the CIPR recognised her as a Fellow and in 2018 as one of 70 outstanding PR practitioners, as part of their 70th anniversary celebrations.
