He is a Stonewall Ambassador and a Trustee of global LGBT+ Charity GiveOUT. He chaired the Government Equalities Office IDAHOT global business event in and the UK Government's first-ever LGBT+ event focused on SMEs in March 2021. He has recently become the UK Government's first-ever LGBT+ Business Champion with a remit to improve the workplace for LGBT+ people, develop solutions to workplace discrimination and champion LGBT+ rights.

Farzana Baduel is the CEO of Curzon PR. She has been appointed as the Resident Public Relations expert and Ambassador for the Oxford Foundry, the University of Oxford’s entrepreneurship centre. She set up Curzon PR in 2009, having previously served as Vice-Chair of Business Relations for the UK Conservative Party.

Farzana holds a Fellowship at the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). She regularly lectures around the world and is a media commentator on PR, diversity and women leadership. She is a trustee at The British Asian Trust, has won awards including Entrepreneur of the Year at WPO, Businesswoman of the Year at the Muslim Awards, Entrepreneur of the Year at the Asian Women of Achievement Awards and the Media Professional of the Year at the AMA Awards.


Simon Baugh,

Simon Baugh 

Simon became the Chief Executive of the Government Communication Service (GCS) in October 2021. He previously served as a Director of Communication in three government departments - the Home Office, the Department for Exiting the European Union, and the Department for Transport. Before that Simon had a 15 year career in the private sector, including senior communications roles at Heathrow Airport. As Chief Executive of GCS, Simon is responsible for leading the entire communications profession across Government. Simon works with No.10 to develop and deliver the Government’s communications strategy, and help departments and other public sector bodies work together to tackle the big challenges the country faces.

 


Sarah Binnie,

Sarah Binnie has 15 years of experience working in both internal and external comms at NatWest Group.  She started her career in internal communications, before moving to the bank’s press office, taking on roles including issues management, the Group’s financial reporting, and heading up the Personal and Commercial banking media teams.  After maternity leave, she became Head of Planning in internal communications, leading the launch for the bank’s new Purpose in 2020. Over the last year, Sarah has taken on the role as Head of Climate Change in the bank’s Public Policy team, being responsible for the bank’s role as a Principal Partner of COP26.

Baroness Blackwood is the current Chair of Genomics England, Member of the Lords Science and Technology Select Committee, a Board Trustee at The Alan Turing Institute, the national institute for data science and artificial intelligence, and is an Honorary Professor, Science, Technology, Engineering and Public Policy, at UCL.

Rachel began her career in local newspaper journalism, before gaining experience in PR and public affairs in a local authority press office. Ruth is Co-Chair of the Association of Police Communicators and she represents communications for London responders on the London Resilience Forum.  Prior to re-joining the Metropolitan Police Service she was Head of Communications for Surrey Police.

Her work focuses on the power and politics of media and the marketplace, including issues concerning identity and intersecting inequalities. Francesca is the author of The Digital Lives of Black Women in Britain , co-author of forthcoming Black Oot Here: Black Lives in Scotland , and is writing a book that builds on her previous work on brand "woke-washing" to explore the relationship between digital remix culture, consumer culture, and social justice. Her research has been published in a range of international journals.
