This one-day workshop will focus on the importance of internal communication in times of crisis.
We’ll explore how to inform and engage your internal community in a variety of different crisis situations; and we’ll build the strategic and tactical understanding necessary to help you best support your people through a crisis and advocate for the organisation in a meaningful way.

The workshop is designed for anyone who has an internal communications responsibility or who is tasked with communicating with their internal stakeholders in times of crisis.

Course objectives
Over the course of the workshop, we will learn about:
• The different types of crisis your organisation might face, and the different approaches needed to deal with them;
• The vital role of internal communication in the crisis communication mix;
• Strategic activity – such as gathering insight, working with leadership, setting objectives, and agreeing an overall approach;
• Tactical activity – such as preparing content and crafting messages, choosing spokespeople and selecting channels, listening to employees and addressing questions and concerns
• Maintaining engagement and morale
• Measuring and evaluating your success
