A one-day course to inspire  greater creativity in the public relations and communications sector, where creative solutions are valued and innovative thinking is regarded as a core skill

Who should attend?
Public relations and communications professionals working in-house or in-agency who are expected to come up with innovative ideas for campaigns and stakeholder engagement programmes.

What to expect

  • Group discussion and exercises
  • Brainstorming techniques that encourage innovative thinking
  • Examples of great creative communication
  • Encouragement and ideas from an experienced creative practitioner


Course objectives

Participation in the course will provide you with the knowledge to:

  • define what applied creativity means in the public relations and communications sector
  • recognise how creativity adds value and improves outcomes
  • look at successful examples of creative PR, and learn from others
  • run better brainstorms – online, face to face, solo and group
  • learn how to sell a creative idea, to line managers and clients

Training that is inclusive: Diverse perspectives and experiences matter to us at the CIPR. We are fully committed to hosting accessible and inclusive training that enables you to attend and engage fully. 
Our venues have wheelchair access, hearing loops, toilet facilities are accessible and assistance dogs are welcome.  We can also arrange private rooms for prayer or nursing for example.  Please email the team to let us know how we can support you.
