About the group

The CIPR's Local Public Services group represents communications professionals working directly in or supporting local public services. This includes local government, health, housing, education and the emergency services.

Interested in joining? Each year we put a call out for members ahead of our AGM - watch this space! You could join a group of talented and dedicated comms professionals working hard to provide training, best practice and networking opportunities for peers at all levels. It doesn't matter what stage of your career you're at, and the committee also welcomes international members!

Events

We're putting our heads together to come up with an events programme which will answer those tricky questions you have, or support you through the challenges (and opportunities!) that working in the public sector brings. Check back later for more info...

Our committee

Our committee is made up of representatives from across the public sector and with skills covering behaviour change, internal comms, stakeholder engagement, social media, evaluation, media relations - and more.
