Midlands PR award winners take the spotlight
The best of Midlands public relations practice was put under the spotlight at the CIPR PRide Awards 2022 which saw communication professionals from across the region come together to celebrate the achievements of the past year.
The event, which was hosted by CIPR Midlands, was in the form of a ‘screening party’, at Millennium Point, Birmingham – turning a virtual event into a live experience for more than 150 guests.
The results were broadcast from London by journalist and broadcaster Jonny Dymond, who was MC for the evening. The Birmingham event was sponsored by Next Level Recruitment and Pitch Consultants.
It sparked a party atmosphere, with fun, food and drink around which the awards were announced on 13 October. Attendees were taken to the auditorium for the screening of the results on a big screen – complete with cartons of popcorn to add to the cinema experience.
A total of £150 was raised for iprovision from the sale of ‘PR Bingo’ cards which prompted attendees to meet and collect photos and post them to social media – making it an ideal springboard for networking. The donation was collected by Kevin Taylor vice-chair of the benevolent fund which supports members in hard times.
