The CIPR AI in PR Panel was launched in 2018 to help the profession understand the opportunities, challenges and implications of artificial intelligence for public relations and communications practice.

Bringing together practitioners, academics and technology specialists, the panel contributed to discussions on the ethical use of AI, emerging technologies, professional standards and the future of communications practice during a period of rapid technological change.

The panel played an important role in informing CIPR thinking and helping to raise awareness of AI-related issues across the profession. Its work contributed to a wider programme of guidance, resources, events and professional development opportunities designed to support practitioners as AI technologies became increasingly relevant to communications practice.

While the panel is no longer active, the CIPR continues to support members and the wider profession through research, guidance, training and thought leadership on AI and emerging technologies.
