Smartphone video is a quick, easy, and cost-effective way to promote messages and handle some video production in-house. Video literacy is becoming essential for modern PR professionals. This introductory course teaches the basic skills needed to plan and shoot short, impactful videos using only a smartphone, along with affordable accessories and apps.

No special apps are required for this course, just a phone with an HD camera. If you'd like to explore further, optional apps include Filmic Pro for manual shooting and Spark Camera (iOS) for short-form video. For editing, we recommend iMovie, VN/Vlog Now, Adobe Rush or LumaFusion. Some apps mentioned during the session are for reference only and not required.
